Add your first liquidity position

Providing liquidity lets your position accrue a share of swap fees from a pool. Here's how to add your first position.

What you'll need

  • A wallet connected to STON.fi.
  • Equal value of two tokens for the standard case — for example, Gram (formerly Toncoin) and USDT.
  • A small amount of extra Gram to cover the network fee.

Steps

  1. Open app.ston.fi/pools and find the pool for your pair.
  2. Click Add liquidity.
  3. Enter the amount of one token. The interface fills in the matching amount of the other automatically.
  4. If you only hold one of the two tokens, you can use Arbitrary Provision — add liquidity using just that one token, and the interface will perform the required swap into the second token under the hood (V2 pools).
  5. Review your share of the pool, expected fee accrual, price impact, and blockchain fee.
  6. Click Confirm and approve the transaction in your wallet.
  7. You'll receive LP tokens representing your share of the pool. The position automatically accrues fees as people swap through the pool.

For an additional reward layer, you can stake your LP tokens in a farm if one exists for the pair. See How do I farm on STON.fi?

Before providing funds, it's worth understanding impermanent loss — see What is impermanent loss?
